THE CHURCH THAT LOVES TO LOVE invites you to the Second Appreciation of its pastor, Dr. Anthony E. Darrington, Sr.
The congregation of the historic Gospel Temple Missionary Baptist Church is blessed with a leader who is an anointed man after God's own heart who teaches the WORD and delivers mighty messages that captures your attention and impresses upon your heart the desire to dig deeper in the word.
Dr. Darrington's ability to connect with all ages is evident through his songs, delivery of the Word and his genuine interaction with the congregation. His messages, THE PREPARED PREACHMENT, are delivered in such a way that people of all ages, all walks of life and all levels of spiritual maturity could not only understand the word but also easily apply the word to their respective circumstances and endeavors.
The Sunday worship experience maybe considered as a balanced blend of traditional and modern church culture. Traditional in a sense that several generations are represented in the church; modern because of the ministry's fresh application of God's word, and connection with a younger generation.
During this two year tenure, Dr. Darrington called "non-active" Gospel Temple members with gifts and talents to get involved. He is the first pastor at Gospel Temple to have female ministers on staff.
On Sunday, November 11, 2012, all are invited to join us at 11a.m. and 3:30 p.m. to show appreciation to Dr. Darrington for his spiritual leadership. The services will be held at Gospel Temple Baptist Church, 18000 Wyoming St., south of Curtis. The speakers for this occasion will be Rev. Aaron McCleod from Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, Illinois at 10:45 AM, and Dr. Oscar Carter from the Inkster Springhill Baptist Church in Inkster, MI at 3:30 PM.
