HopeMob is changing the way people give to others

HopeMob is revolutionizing the way people give to charities by providing an online resource where those who have a passion to help others can give 100 percent of their donation directly to those who have an immediate need. Shaun King, who has been a pastor for most of his adult life, made the decision to step down as a senior pastor of a church in Atlanta, Ga., to work full-time with HopeMob, the nonprofit organization that he founded and launched in April 2012. Members of the HopeMob staff are working hard to set their organization apart from other crowd-funding programs, by connecting people in need with members of their online community who have the resources to help - whether it is writing a story, or donating time and money.

Dottie Peoples honored with Lifetime Achievement Award

Grammy ® Award- nominated, Dove, Stellar, GMWA, NAACP Image Award-Winning Singer DOTTIE PEOPLES will add another honor to her already impressive list of accolades during the 14th Allstate Gospel Superfest national TV recording and festival in Atlanta on Saturday, March 9, 2013 where she will be honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award for her accomplishments in Gospel music.

Dottie's distinctive voice always garnered attention. After seeing her perform in Dayton, Ohio early on in her career, Dorothy Norwood enlisted Dottie to join her on tour opening for the Rolling Stones and Stevie Wonder.

After touring with Norwood and the Rolling Stones, Peoples returned to Ohio where she developed quite a reputation as a jazz vocalist. "I sang jazz until I moved to Atlanta and joined Salem Baptist Church and started singing in services," Dottie Remembers. "The first solo I did was called 'If You Move Yourself.' It changed my whole life because I stood there and realized that I was blessing people. I knew I didn't want to sing jazz anymore. I just want to sing for the Lord. I got back to my roots and I've been singing gospel ever since."

First Look: Preacher’s Daughters

Teaching kids right from wrong may take a village...except when it takes a congregation! Lifetime will premiere its provocative new family docuseries "Preachers' Daughters,: following the lives of three families for a behind-the-altar look at what happens at home after the sermon concludes, on Tuesday, March 12, at 10pm ET/PT.

Produced by Thinkfactory Media (multiple Golden Globe® Award and Emmy®-nominated miniseries Hatfields & McCoys and family docusoap Gene Simmons Family Jewels),"Preachers' Daughters" reveals a hard-hitting but often humorous look at the lives of these pastors' daughters as they balance the temptations every teenager faces with their parents' strict expectations and code of conduct as influenced by their faith. The show follows three families, the Colemans, Koloffs and Perrys, as they struggle to keep their daughters away from premarital sex.

What happens will change these families forever, and surprise viewers with this unvarnished peek into their lives and the universal issues all households with teenagers face daily.
