Minute meditation: prayer to accept change

If there is one thing in life we are guaranteed is those things will change. How we react to change is what builds our character. Change is what allows us to become the people we want to be and need to be. There is a process to becoming different. There is a process to dealing with different. The first thing to do is acknowledge it.

We can reflect on the fact that our lives are evolving circles of light. Scripture advises that we are constantly becoming new.

"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." 2 Corinthians 5:17

God, give us grace to accept with serenity
the things that cannot be changed
Courage to change the things
which should be changed, and the Wisdom to distinguish the one from the other.
Living one day at a time,
Enjoying one moment at a time,
Accepting hardship as a pathway to peace,
Taking, as Jesus did,
This sinful world as it is,
Not as I would have it,
Trusting that You will make all things right,
If I surrender to Your will,
So that I may be reasonably happy in this life,
And supremely happy with You forever in the next. Amen
May this start to a new week bring you change that makes you a great person.

Who is Kierra Sheard?

The Sheards will be a newest faith based reality tv show to feature a famous gospel family. The show will premiere on April 7, 2013.

Kierra Sheard first came to the world's attention as a nine year old, belting out vocals well beyond her years in a live recording of the hit, "The Will Of God," which was on her mother's 1997 solo debut release, Finally Karen. Until that point, Kierra had shown little interest in being a singer, and the family was unaware of her exceptional talent.
"I didn't want to do the song with my mother and she had to make me practice," "I wanted to do nails – acrylic nails.Kierra recalls.

My parents had bought me a nail tech table and all these products because that's what I was interested in at that time." However, after her performance with her mother, offers for recording deals started to pour in. By 2003, Kierra had a label deal with EMI Gospel, which propelled her into music stardom—churning out hits that showed her vocal prowess and diversity, such as "You Don't Know," "Love Like Crazy," "Praise Him Now," and "Invisible."

Kierra Sheard, gospel recording diva tweeted her family's Reality TV show premiere date for April 7, 2013. Check out the photo tweeted on Feb. 25.

The show will include Gospel superstar Karen Clark-Sheard, 51, and her children. Rising Gospel star Kierra Sheard, 25, and son, producer and aspiring R&B singer J. Drew Sheard. It's not known whether Karen's husband Pastor John Drew Sheard will be in the reality show. It's also unclear whether Karen's sisters (The Clark Sisters) will make an appearance.

Karen is one of the four sisters that make up the legendary singing group the 'Clark Sisters,' that includes Dorinda Clark-Cole, Twinkie Clark and Jackie Clark. Many artists look up to The Clark Sisters, and their recognized as one of the best-selling Gospel groups of our time.
