Healthy Eating for Your Children

Children develop a natural preference for the foods they enjoy the most, so the challenge is to make healthy choices appealing. No matter how good your intentions, trying to convince your eight-year-old that an apple is as sweet a treat as a cookie is not a recipe for success! However, you can ensure that your children's diet is as nutritious and wholesome as possible, even while allowing for some of their favorite treats.

The childhood impulse to imitate is strong, so it's important you act as a role model for your kids. It's no good asking your child to eat fruit and vegetables while you gorge on potato chips and soda.

Kandi Burress Goes Gospel

Bravo's Real Housewives of Atlanta reality TV star, Kandi Burruss, has both the gospel and secular music industry buzzing. The announcement of her plans to release a new gospel song featuring Pastor Marvin Sapp, called "Stay Prayed Up," has stunned those familiar with the nature of the popular entertainer's business.

The host of "Kandi Koated Nights," a web series covering all things sex, and creator of "Bedroom Kandi," a line of pleasure products and sex toys, has shocked the public with news she has teamed up with Pastor Marvin Sapp for the release of a gospel single.

Fully aware of the controversial nature of it all, via her personal Instagram page, the sex-preneur and Grammy-winning songwriter wrote, "I knew when I decided to do it that I would be criticized. That's to be expected."

And yet, the single mom, who is engaged to her live-in fiancé, Todd Tucker, is moving forward with her plans to unveil her newest musical baby, "Stay Prayed Up."

"I am honest about who I am," she continued, before revealing her Christian background and lineage. "My great grand father & my grandfather were Bishops in The Church of God Holiness. I believe in God but I have always struggled with the rules of the church, just like a lot of people."
